Why this office cleaning manual?
Because very person deserves the right information they need at a price that is affordable!
As business owners ourselves (Mobile Oil Change) my husband and I were pleased when our daughter came to us saying she had decided to start her own Office Cleaning Business. With 2 kids and a husband who worked full time dayshift she had no success finding a decent job that she could fit her schedule around and earn enough money to make it worthwhile.
She wanted our help because she didn't have a clue of how to start. She had looked for "how to start a cleaning business" books and manuals but geeze some of those prices were sky high! Up to a couple hundred bucks! WOW!! (so much for low start up cost)
She didn't need a step-by-step guide to walk her through the cleaning process she ALREADY knew HOW to clean (remember she's a wife with 2 kids?), she just needed to know all the "legalities" of setting up, getting her business name and license, insurance, that kind of thing, and some good advice on how to build a customer base and help designing the needed forms.
The experience I already had made it easy for me to work with her and help her learn the ropes. After getting her on her feet it dawned on me that others could benefit from this information. That it shouldn't cost a small fortune to learn how to start a cleaning business. You already have the "skills"- you have been practicing since you were little and mom gave you household chores to do. You just need some good direction in knowing what "paperwork" to file to get your business license, business name and so on. Along with some advice on getting those customers and help designing your bid sheets and brochures. Low priced information - that is a need!
My husband and I had already written & copyrighted our "How to Start a Mobile Oil Change Business" manual back in 2002. We knew from the responses that we had received that we had helped many people start their own successful Mobile Lube business so it dawned on me, "why not help people get started with a cleaning business without the high price tag so many others charge?"That is why I wrote this "How To Start an Office Cleaning Business" manual, to give you the basic information you need without all the "unnecessary nonsense" that drives the price up! It's 30 pages of "what’s needed" information and that is it - no fluff. No repeating the same thing over and over to make the book longer (so you can charge more because it's a longer book) , no explaining how to do basic cleaning (again to make the book longer so it justifies charging more) just quite simply - the start up info you need!!
